Very straight forward! I love the grocery list space and the easy, clutter free format of the weekly menu. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and have found it very helpful. Especially since trying to be more strict with our budget and spending money on mom essentials such as eating out.
This guide has already made planning meals for the week super helpful!!
A super helpful meal planner. Easy reference tool for anyone trying to engage their family in healthy eating habits. Like having a personal nutritionist coach in your kitchen!
I should have read other reviews. Almost no actual instruction on how to meal plan, but lots of blank pages to do meal planning.
Was expecting to find meal plans not blank templates. Very disappointed. Not worth the money.
I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this book. I guess I was thinking it would have included meals for the 52 weeks. I had no idea that it was merely 10 pages of minimal information (which I don't quite agree with) and then the rest of the 216 pages are empty templates for you to write down your meals in, and templates for the recipes. This might be beneficial for some people, but being a health and wellness consultant as well as a nutritionist, it wasn't helpful to me at all. I already plan my meals on my computer in Word and then I put them in a binder along with the recipes right with them. This book doesn't take into account if anyone in your family has any medical conditions that would require dietary modifications such as diabetes, gluten intolerance, allergies, etc. On the cover, it state the complete guide to planning menus, groceries, recipes and more. But it is certainly not complete. This is created after the SAD (Standard American Diet) which is far from the best guidelines to follow. There are some good suggestions such as planning out your menu and to generate a shopping list. Including your family in the planning (and the preparation) is a good idea as well. While I do find this book to be helpful, others may find that they like it; especially if you are new to planning meals in advance.I received this book to review from the publisher. Although for me, it is not of any value, I will give it 3 stars for others.
The only part of this book I find helpful are the 10 pages of meal prep and shopping tips at the front of the book—a seasonal produce guide, meal prep hacks, etc. Other than that, this book is just a blank template to fill in weekly meal plans, recipes, price comparisons, and shopping lists. I'd be able to do this for a lot less money by buying a simple notebook. So to be, this book is not worth the money.I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for my review. All opinions are my own!
One way to make cooking at home more often easier is to have a meal plan. You may be less tempted to go out to eat when you already have something planned. This book is a great resource for either newbies or experienced meal planners. There are pages for 3 meals and a snack for each day by the week. There are 52 weekly pages. There are also pages to write some of your favorite recipes and to write shopping listsOne suggestion that would make it easier to use is if it would be spiral bound. The way it is bound it is difficult to write on some parts of the pages and is difficult to keep your place in the book sine it doesn’t lay open flat.I received a free copy from the publisher.
