This is actually a great book if you are working with angels, enochian magic, or with high magic and conjuring. This has a lot of angels from many different religious and esoteric books and scrolls.I would not recommend this to people that are highly religious, and not open to this kind of work

I just wanted to give people a little info on the book itself; I'm not going to jump into the "are there really angels," "is this book safe," "could you get yourself cursed" debate.The book has many black and white illustrations; there is probably one every three to five pages or so. They are good looking, but this definitely isn't a picture book.The book is a pretty good size, and has MANY more angels than I was aware of; it'll take me a while to get through all of them.The book is indeed a dictionary. While there are longer passages and descriptions which I found fun to read, this book is a list of the angels, categorized by name, with anything from a one sentence blurb to a few pages devoted to descriptions and info about them. If you are looking for a dictionary, it's spectacular.If that description sounds like what you want, you should definitely pick up this book. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
This is an incredible compendium of Angels. It includes the names and descriptions of Angels mentioned in various religious scriptures and literary works. Ranging from the Holy Bible to the Grimoires. The author always cites the source from where he obtained the information about the angel or angel-related topic he is talking about. The illustrations and pictures of works of art depicting Angels are well selected. Although I wish all the Illustrations from Thomas Heywood's Hierarchie of the Blessed Angels had been included instead of just a few. And one last thing about this book, it was featured in the film "The Prophecy" starring Christopher Walken.
Very interesting and loaded with information. Of course you have to believe in it all if you buy the book. I was happy with it and believe most of the information is correct. A lot of research was obviously done just to get all of the info into the book. It is a dictionary so arranged alphabetically. In all, it's quite amazing.
I purchased this book for my son who loves reading about the Bible, Angels, Mythologies, etc. We ordered this book and the back was very damaged. I contacted the seller and was told a new one was sent out, we never received it.My son is diagnosed with Autism so trying to read a book which is falling apart is very stressful to him, but since he had already seen the cover and read the back, he really wanted to get the new book. After we realized that we were never were going to receive the replacement book which we were told was sent, which may have been stolen during the delivery process for all that we know, he has been trying to read the book praying that it stays together while I am praying for no crisis if it does not, he seems to love the information which is included in the book.I would refer this book to a friend.

I originally saw mention of this encyclopedia in the references of a fiction book that I absolutely loved. When I started to write my own story dealing with angels and demons, I naturally thought that this book might be of some help. I was totally right! This book is loaded with tons of information not only dealing with a certain church branch of angels and demons but many various ones, giving a fair outlook on the different opinions each of them had/have. I love the mixture of details and the clarity of the information given. If you have any interest in angelology or are in need of a reference regarding angels and demons, this is definitely the book for you. :)
