It has been a while since I read it. It is short, 44 pages, but it is well organized, and a good source of information. I wanted information about the No. 4 to No. 8 bench planes, but it has a lot more than that. I recommend it if you want information about Stanley Bailey planes, and other planes based on the Bailey patent.
This is not as detailed and exhaustive a Stanley type study as the "Blood & Gore" website, but it is a handy reference. I'm not sure how accurate the pricing information is - as prices will vary over time. Still, as a quick reference, it's rather handy.
Great Reference Book, I ordered for my Husband's Birthday, we have a Antique, Gift Booth in an Antique Mall and he sells a lot of Stanley tools.
A book that all Stanley Plane collectors will find invaluable. Well written with lots of hints and tips for everyone.
It a nice book but not as detailed as I wanted. I wanted a more descriptive book with more information on all planes made by Stanley. I am just starting in collecting planes I have several Stanley planes I’m restoring.
